I love the Easter Lily. I have wanted one for a long time, but up until last spring I never had one. Well this year I went ahead and splurged the $20 to get one. I figured I could start some from bulbs but one so not friendly passerby decided to steal my planter with my new bulbs in it before they had a chance to bloom. Isn't that sad? The world is coming to stealing planters out of yards? Seriously. Anywho.... so I bought one from the store. At first it lost its flower and took about two months to get it to bloom again. Now it is up and blooming like crazy and doing very well inside. My step-mother was visiting and asked me how I get it to bloom. I was kind of confused because I didn't realize anyone had a problem with this. Well the only thing I figured out is that I feed my plant and all she did was water hers. You have to remember that plants need food too! I fed my Lily Miracle Grow single packets and they worked really well. The best care I have found for this plant is to feed it once a month, water by drenching about once a week, and wiping off the leaves with a damp cloth once a month. It works well for me.
